It’s really good that I live in Metro Manila, because I like going to the Aliwan Fiesta. I like travelling around the country to see and attend festivals, but the Aliwan Fiesta is special because there’s no need for me to travel far and spend on airfare, food and hotel. The best festivals in the country comes to my home city under one event – and that’s why I love the Aliwan Fiesta.

If you want to take unique photos of the Aliwan Fiesta, come early during their assembly and preparation time. This will give you the chance to come really close and see their colorful costumes. You can even talk to the dancers and have them do some poses for you. That’s why I always make an effort to go to the venue as early as possible.

The Aliwan Fiesta is one of my favorite events in Manila. Also called, the Festival of Festivals, Manila’s Aliwan Fiesta is the ultimate celebration where other festivals from all over the Philippines come to compete for the title as Aliwan Fiesta champion. Yes, they all come to Manila complete with their colorful costumes and amazing props and practiced with their lively dance choreography.
